The Restoring Worcestershire's Grassland project ran from 2012-2015. It was funded by SITA Trust through the Landfill Communities Fund, with over £118,000 being provided to restore 110 hectares of lowland meadow.

Ancient semi-natural woodlands are a magnificant feature of the Worcestershire countryside. They are rich in wildlife, including a number of specialist species, and can also be great places for quiet recreation.

The Natural Networks scheme was set up to help create and restore wildlife-rich habitats across Worcestershire. As over 110,000 hectares of the county is farmland, it’s no surprise that the project has helped a few farmers enhance some of their land for wildlife.

Farming plays an important role in Worcestershire's countryside and has a significant impact on wildlife in the county. We own and manage farms at Naunton Beauchamp and Lower Smite as well as managing many other grazed and cultivated fields around the county.

Natural Networks is an exciting new opportunity for landowners, organisations and communities across Worcestershire to take action and enhance their land for wildlife.
